1. Join the waitlist
Sign up to join our waitlist and we will notify you by email when the doors are open to register for the competition.
2. One registration per person
To ensure fairness, you are limited to one registration using a valid email address and cell phone number. Any duplicate entries will be disqualified from winning a prize. You must be over 21 years of age and living within the USA or Canada only. You can review the Official Rules here.
3. Contest periods
Our Trading Competition consists of three separate contests, each with its own timeframe:

End: November 14, 2024, 8:00 PM EST

4. How to register
Registration will open on August 15, 2024. To register, you will need to sign-up and create a free TradeZero competition account to gain access to the competition portal and trading platform. This needs to be completed at least 5 trading days before the end of the contest period you wish to be entered for.
5. How to participate
All entrants will start each contest with $100,000 in their competition paper trading account. You can buy equity and option positions in the US markets only, using part or all of your paper trading account balance. You can maintain a part cash, part equity, part option, or all equity or all option paper trading account. You cannot buy fractional shares and you cannot have a position in an amount greater than $10,000 (at the time a position is opened). You must have a minimum of one stock or option in your competition account throughout the contest period and you must make at least one trade per day for 5 trading days during the contest period. 6. Winner selection and notification
The entrant with the highest balance of paper trading cash in their portfolio at the end of the contest period is eligible to win the prize. Read the full details on contest rules and scoring here.

What is the World Championship of Trading Competition?
The World Championship of Trading Competition is a series of 3 paper trading contests, running from September 15, 2024 to December 14, 2024, where participants create and manage a paper trading account to compete for the highest account value for each specific contest period. Winners receive cash prizes based on their overall account performance.
How do I register for the competition?
To register, you must create a free TradeZero competition account using our competition sign-up link. Each participant is limited to one registration per person with a valid email address and cell phone number. Participants must be over 21 years of age and be a resident of the USA or Canada.

How do I set up my contest account?
After successfully registering for the competition, you will gain login access to our competition portal and competition trading platform, to set up your competition paper trading account.
Can I enter multiple times?
No, each participant is limited to one registration per person with a valid email address and cell phone number. However, you can enter for all 3 contests.
How are the winners selected?
At the end of each contest period, the entrant with the highest paper trading account value and who has met all participation criteria, will be declared the contest period winner and will be notified accordingly.
What prizes can I win?
Contest 1:
- 1st place: $5000 USD + Lifetime of Benzinga Pro Essential + Tour of the NYSE and lunch for 2 at the NYSE.
- 2nd place: $1,000 + 1 Year of Benzinga Pro Essential.
- 3rd place: $500 + 1 Year of Benzinga Pro Essential.
Contest 2:
- 1st place: $10,000 USD + Lifetime of Benzinga Pro Essential + Tour of the NYSE and lunch for 2 at the NYSE.
- 2nd place: $2,000 + 1 Year of Benzinga Pro Essential.
- 3rd place: $1,000 + 1 Year of Benzinga Pro Essential.
Contest 3:
- 1st place: $15,000 USD + Lifetime of Benzinga Pro Essential + Tour of the NYSE and lunch for 2 at the NYSE.
Can I join the competition after it has started?
You can join any contest period up to 5 trading days before the contest end date. For example, to join Contest 1, you must register by October 8, 2024 and place at least one trade on that date.
